The star of this week’s NY governor’s debate was Jimmy McMillan of The Rent is Too Damn High Party (see video below). He was able to collect 15,000 signatures to get on the ballot – some of whom were, no doubt, fellow patients.

Former New York Governor Elliot Spitzer’s Harvard Club application was rejected. The lesson here is never use anyone as a reference whose name is Bambi or Trixi.

Was it Groucho Marx who said, “I would not join any club that would have Elliot Spitzer’s member.”?

NPR fired longtime analyst Juan Williams for saying on Fox News that when he is on a plane with Muslims, “I get nervous.” NPR then fired ten more employees who said when they’re on a plane with Juan Williams, they get nervous.

Williams was last seen being escorted out of the NPR offices with his belongings stuffed in an “All Things Considered” tote bag.

In response to Juan Williams being fired by NPR, Mike Huckabee announced he will boycott the public radio network. This raises the question: Mike Huckabee has been on NPR?

Alaska Tea Party candidate Joe Miller has lost some support since his security people handcuffed and detained a journalist at a town hall meeting. On the plus side, he’s polling very well with bondage and discipline devotees.

According to a New York Times/CBS News Poll, 86 percent of Tea Party supporters don’t think global warming is real – about the same number who think professional wrestling is.

Republican Delaware Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell said she regrets airing the campaign ad in which she declared “I’m not a witch.” Although, it was still better than their first idea: “I’m not the least bit qualified to be a Senator.”

Give me liberty and plenty of cold showers
